Day 2:

Breakfast, then sailing towards Gawid (it takes about 4 hours, so we’ll leave Daplac at 9 am).

Along the way, we will stop at one of the paradise islands in front of Port Barton, to snorkel and swim with the turtles.

After lunch, we will resume the route to Gawid (ETA 4 pm).

Gawid is the perfect local experience, where you’ll get in touch, like never before, with an untouched fishing community.

Gawid is like the Philippines 50 years ago.

We’ll spend 2 nights in a particular scenic building in the heart of town, close to the beach.

Sunset in Lapus Lapus Place will take your breath away.

Dinner by the beach prepared by some native fishermen.

Day 3:

Breakfast. Free time available to enjoy the spot. If you want, there are waterfalls 30 minutes away on foot, where you can swim in freshwater.

We’ll buy some fresh food and have lunch before taking the boat to Garuray beach and other lovely spots thereabouts.

Back to Gawid to prepare for a lechon night. An utterly tasty roasted pig cooked in the Filipino tradition, to share with the locals.

Some music, some rum: it’s Gawid party!

Day 4

Breakfast, then we’ll get on the boat heading to Katalat Island.

An island known for the beauty of its beaches and for the octopus fishermen.

There we will swim, dive from the rocks, visit the local elementary school and enjoy a nice lunch based on octopus and other fishes.

A little siesta after lunch.

Get on the boat again to reach our last unique homestay: the Kata floating house.

Located in a bay crowned with mangroves, this fishing family will host us in a floating house built on a sandbar.

Diner, sunset, and resting.
